HST spin-off company listed on the Swedish stock exchange

HST’s spin-off company Acarix goes public in Sweden on 19 December 2016

Managing director Søren Rysholt Christiansen anticipates that Acarix’s stock exchange listing will become a great success. Without revealing the names of future shareholders, Rysholt Christiansen states in an article published by business.dk that the resources will be put towards executing the company’s commercialization strategy and launching campaign.

Acarix A/S builds on innovative research performed at Department of Health Science and Technology and initially emerged from a student project. Already while studying biomedical engineering, Samuel Emil Schmidt and his co-student Claus Graff started developing algorithms, which e.g. Acarix’s CADScor®System is based on.

Today, Samuel Emil Schmidt holds a position as associate professor at Department of Health Science and Technology. In collaboration with members of the department’s Medical Informatics research group, Samuel is still devoted to his research within the area of cardiotechnology and to designing algorithms.
