“I have spent some good and productive years working with the doctoral school. I have enjoyed working on developing training programmes for our future researchers. I see great potential in my new position as pro-dean, and I believe that my past experience from the doctoral school and CNAP will come to good use. I look forward to making my mark, in cooperation with the dean and other managers, on the strategic research development of the Faculty of Medicine,” Professor Thomas Graven-Nielsen says.
NEW HEAD OF DOCTORAL SCHOOL
Professor, DSc, PhD, Ole Kæseler Andersen is appointed new head of the doctoral school at the Faculty of Medicine. Ole Kæseler Andersen will take up his new position on 1 March. During his employment as professor at the Department of Health Science and Technology, Ole Kæseler Andersen has been involved in the PhD Committee and the development of research training. Participating in this work Ole has gained great experience within this particular field.
“During the past 8-10 years, I have been involved in the PhD Committee, and this has given me an insight into the operations of the doctoral school which may prove beneficial to the further development of the doctoral school. I know the history and have ideas for the further development of research training at the Faculty of Medicine. I hope to be able to steer our research production in a positive direction, for instance by relaunching stays abroad as an attractive part of research training. I believe that conducting research abroad for some time is extremely rewarding. The experience of working abroad may provide researchers with brand new perspectives on and approaches to their own research and also reflect positively on research conducted at the Faculty of Medicine in general,” Professor Ole Kæseler Andersen explains.
