Neuromechanics and Exercise Laboratory

The function of the laboratory is to combine biomechanical and neurophysiological aspects in the analysis of human movement, and to explore exercise/training related adaptations in movement and motor control patterns. The research is focused on whole body movement in basic movement patterns like: bicycling, walking, running, hopping and jumping.

The hypothesis is that the better the understanding of how general exercise and/or systematic training modulates the control of the moving body, the more qualified exercise and training regimes can be developed in the spectrum between rehabilitation and elite sports.
