TRANSLATIONAL NEUROBIOLOGY OF THE PAIN SYSTEM XXIV: EFFECT OF INFLAMMATION ON PAIN NEUROPLASTICITY
21.11.2019 kl. 09.00 - 22.11.2019 kl. 16.00
This is the twenty-fourth annual international Ph.D. course on the translational neurobiology of the pain system. The purpose of the course is to introduce different aspects of the neurobiology of the pain system and to initiate new co-operation in interdisciplinary pain research. This year the course will focus on pain and neuroplasticity and especially on the effects of localised inflammation as well as low-grade systemic inflammation (as found in many life-style conditions). Advanced psychophysical and electrophysiological methodologies will be presented for each topic. The course is arranged over two days, and participants are invited from different international laboratories. The lectures will be given by staff from Center for Neuroplasticity and Pain, SMI (Aalborg University), and by invited international key scientists within the area.
